You should check the .pst file your Outlook is using. There's a scanpst.exe tool in the same folder - try running it and fixing any problems it finds.

Also, try using the Help | Detect and Repair option in the Microsoft Outlook menu.

The .pst file should be in a folder somewhere under \Documents and settings\[your username]\Local Settings or \Documents and settings\[your username]\application data - I can't remember exactly because I use Exchange and in my case I have a .ost file which is somewhere else.

When was the last time you soft reset your device? Also, do you use Pocket Internet Explorer? If yes, when was the last time you cleared its cache (Tools | Options | Delete files)?

Also, if you tap Start | Settings | System | Memory, how much does it show as available for Storage and Program?

thanks again for the reply, I have now done a soft reset. deleted the partnership. and set a new partnership....going through the wizard the calander is ticked to synch..but not when it actually synch's  I dont use pocket IE
and my memory is this

storage . allocated 61.02mb,in use 17.65, free 43.37
program. allocated 61.02,in use 15.75,free 55.27

still got the problem, and its getting really fustrated as the main reason i have the pocket pc is for the synchronised calender.

what about if i deleted and reinstalled acvtivesync and outlook?

This is really frustating, I believe you. Are you prepared (with backup, etc) to perform a hard reset? This will restore the Pocket PC to a brand new state and delete everything. From there create the parnership again and see how it goes.

I don't think removing ActiveSync and Outlook will help much, but it's worth giving a try to a hard reset.

Well, I didn't want to suggest the hard reset way before trying the other fixes. It's harder (no pun intended) to restore everything, etc, but sometimes is the only way...
