Just as i browse around for HTC Universal from geekzone's HTC Universal article, at the::unwired, it appears that HTC Wizard will become available. looks quite cool but i am sure it will just be GSM/GPRS/EDGE system rather than 3G UMTS.

Anyhow, looks like i will have two devices to look at comparing... hopefully they both will be introduced to Vodafone NZ network soon... i like to get 3G, but i seriously need a PocketPC Phone, i've outgrown the use that my SP2 can offer me...

Either that or a mini-tablet pc like the one MS is trying to reintroduce Tablet PC 2006 as, or OQO's Model 01. hmmm....

dillemma.

The HTC Wizard has a CDMA version. I didn't disclose before, but now it's public (another site put the information on-line)... The HTC Apache is a Pocket PC Phone Edition CDMA EV-DO - if you need an option.

According to this other site (www.phonearena.com) it should be available from Telecom New Zealand in October/November, but I'd say later than this.

well at this stage. i wont be looking at CDMA devices though i was tempted to get the mobile broadband card which was on special until today (free MBC, and WIFI if signed on to 24 months of Mobile Data 100 plan.)

I want 3G or GSM/GPRS PocketPC which i can continue my 021 number. and many people on my contacts are GSM users anyhow.

Still running as far as I am aware Chiefie.

Also, you can take up the same offer on the $10 a month Mobile Broadband Flexi by signing up for 36 months.

Still, I don't mind, since the keyboard is much better in terms of space. I would still carry my Smartphone anyway, because in some situations the small size is very convenient.

sounds like a bag baby
I suppose the key is justifying the hassle with a large device with the functionality offered

I actually like the functionality and think of it as a mini PC instead of a Pocket PC - still not like the OQO Model 01 in terms of full blown functions, but very good form factor - except that like any other PDA it still requires a PC to install programs.

Hi there - check out Geekzone Inhand powered by Handango - you will only have to install one program via PC to use any of the software titles on offer through Inhand.

Oh, Mauricio.... its you :-P

Fancy that... I know, but the catalogue is limited, although something else is coming our way in terms of OTA delivery - can't say much more now but please observe this space.

I am browsing around the software store now (on my PC). I dont mind that i have to use the PC for most software I want, but if it was just as easy to get everything OTA i would, so i look forward to any new developments.

T-Mobile and i-mate have now announced it.

But seriously, what kind of name is i-mate JASJAR?
