Hopefully the guys putting yet another screen in my Apache (It's in getting another new screen? he's thinking) will chuck in the new ROM stuff.

I wouldn't count on that now. The new ROM will take some time to find its way to the repair channels...

Final RC is in test this week. Until the testing is finished it will not be available to the repair channel.

Thanks for the replies  - can I check - is this a firmware upgrade or a hardware upgrade?
(I was presuming it is a firmware upgrade for AKU2? )

Thanks!

This is a software upgrade only. There are no hardware upgrades for Windows Mobile.

Hi - I'll tell you guys what i'm interested in - using a Bluetooth stereo headset to listen to music on my Telecom Apache.

I found this thread of people who have had success with this after the AKU2 upgrade - in fact i found a couple of threads indicating people have got it working even with out AKU2

http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71436

Has anyone in NZ had any luck with this getting Bluetooth stereo headsets to work with the Apache?

Thanks!

Chris.

Yeah I got A2DP working using the pdaphonehome hack and Plantronics Pulsar 590 Bluetooth headphones. When it worked it was great but unfortunately the sound was intermittent (cuts in and out) making it unusable

So do you think that the AKU2 update might fix the 'intermittent' problems?

I tested it with AKU2.2

Production A2DP is not expected until AKU3.x
