Hello everyone, I  just came across this forum as i was searching on google for pocket pc repairs. Anyways i dropped
my imate jamin today and as a result of which a few dents have occured on the bottom edge of the phone. I have my doubts about this but will vodafone give me a replacement phone as i have 2 year warranty on the phone. Otherwise is there any place i could give my phone for repairs where they could change the frontside of the phone. Btw I live in auckland.

I would be grateful if someone could help me out here. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to Geekzone... I doubt you'd get a replacement or repair for free on a drop. I think it only covers theft or loss. But you can ask.

If not, contact MFR (mobilefonerepair.co.nz), since they are the authorised agents in New Zealand.

One reason why I got an aluminium case for My Jasjar-it has saved its bacon on several occasions now.
I think you can get one of those ones for the Jamin??

I had a wee look at there website, there didnt appear to be any mention of Imate or HTC or Qtek.
But a call wont hurt

You mean the MFR site? They are the service agents for i-mate in New Zealand...

A few more questions i had for you guys. Do you guys know of any such cases which have been repaired by the mobilefonerepair guys.What i mean to say is do u think they can replace the frontside of the phone as thats where the dents are. And if they can,
will it be covered under my warranty.

They can certainly replace the front case, but if these are just dents and not impacting on normal operation, I wouldn't worry, since I don't think you can have this repaired under warranty.

I doubt they would do this under warranty, since this is not a manufacturing fault.

I don't really know, but I wouldn't expect to be as expensive as it would be if it was the screen or the motherboard.

Hey freitasm, I called mobilefonerepairs today and told them about the dents. They are saying it might cost me around 80-100 dollars to replace the front cover. Does the cost seem right to you. Just like to check with someone before i go ahead with the repair.
