Hi, I've been reading the geekzone disscusion on setting mms upon your apache. I've got the cab for mms installed but I need to know the server which telecom is being secrative about. It cant be posted on this site or geekzone is asked to remove it by the grat moral teacher telecom. What to do? I wish I had some solution!!

No matter what you do you won't get MMS working on the Apache, the network profile for the phone does not allow for MMS, instead you should get a text notification.

As brad said, the Apache network profile is set to send legacy messages only (text messages for short). The same applies for the Treo 600, Treo 650, and Treo 700wx.

The MMS settings are not advertised as phones sold by Telecom already have those settings in them and they are not something that can be changed easily (though they can be changed).

Besides, from memory (and without posting any information that I shouldn't), the Apache wouldn't be able to send messages anyway because the photo message profiles are not created (or should be disabled) with either photo message platform.

A recap of the above (which I agree with):

The PDAs on offer now (and in the past, and probably for the short-mid term future) cannot send/recieve MMS on Telecoms network.

They are not being secretive, or locking people out, the capability just isnt there.

There is no MMS information that was ever posted on Geekzone that I am aware of, that TNZ has requested removal of.
