PLEASE HELP!

I'm trying to use HDMI Audio and Video from my PC to my Plasma HDTV. Is there a way I can connect an HDMI to HDMI cable from my PC to my Plasma TV getting Video and Audio with this cable to my TV from my PC. Is there anything extra I need to buy to do this? Because I don't have any HDMI connetion on my PC but have an HDMI on my TV. Please help!

the DVI on the PC does not have audio signal. unless your PC video card has HDMI with digital audio feed too, you will not get audio feed from PC to your Plasma.

At the moment only 1 video card (can't remember the brand) has HDMI output with digital audio.

Internet is my backyard...

Thank you for the reply, is there something else I can use except to buy a new video card? Anything like a HDMI switch, splitter or adaptor I can use?

you can use DVI-HDMI and just use the 3.5mm-Stereo RCA to HDMI audio input.

Most flat panel display accept stereo input for HDMI or DVI or VGA. and some can be configure from the setting. Check the flat panel display manual first. Or list the particular model you have/interested.

I have an ATI Radeon X1600HDMI card in my machine, and to get sound through the HDMI into the TV I had to connect an RCA lead to the SPIDF out and then using an adaptor supplied with my machine connect it back into the S-Video of the graphics card. Sounds weird but that's the way it works.

Also, check your TV manual, some manufacturers (Samsung & LG) do not support HDMI connections for HTPC and you can experience some unpleasant/disturbing flashes when launching media centre

Hi,
I have a HPC plasma tv and i experience some unpleasant/disturbing flashes when launching media centre.
My connections are:from the pc dvi and hdmi from the tv.
Anyone knows a solution for this kind of problem?

I'm not sure but if your display has a VGA (PC) connection for display and your graphics card does use that

I had these flashes using HDMI and it was bloody terrible

Unless your display has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 don't bother with HDMI

Thanks for you reply.
I connect vga with vga and the flashes are gone.
But the quality of picture was better with hdmi :(
I'll buy later a better video card for my pc with hdmi output.
Maybe with hdmi to hdmi fix that problem.
What do you think?
