Hi all

I thought I would post a topic about getting a Vista Media Centre working EPG for NZ.

I have had one working for about a month now. I used one guide in particular that was very helpful. It makes use of Bladerunner 3 and a EPG 'grabber' such as XMLTVNZ.

http://www.tvxb.com/doc/Vista-BladerunnerPro%20Instructions.htm

The above link will take you to the page that has a very good step-by-step guide.

Just note that I used XMLTVNZ. Extract your XMLTVNZ program into the c:/windows/ehome/bladerunnerpro folder and run it from there. Where ever the guide talks about TVxb you can assume they are talking about XMLTVNZ  and that you need to configure XMLTVNZ to do what they require TVxb to do.

Here is an example file of the getlistings.bat file you could use to get XMLTVNZ to provide Bladerunner with the needed files of: listing2.xml and channelinfo.xml

cd C:\Windows\ehome\bladerunnerpro\
xmltvnz.exe listing2.xml -days 5 -seconds -noicons -nolang -nogenres -noactors tv1 tv2 tv3 prime sky_sky1 sky_e sky_sport1 sky_sport2 sky_sport3 sky_espn sky_movies1 sky_movies2 sky_disney sky_playhouse sky_cartoon sky_nickelodeon sky_documentary sky_discovery sky_natgeo sky_animalplanet sky_history
copy /Y listing2.xml C:\WINDOWS\ehome\BladeRunnerPro\GuideData
copy /Y Channelinfo.xml C:\WINDOWS\ehome\BladeRunnerPro\QuickGuide
copy /Y xmltv.dtd C:\WINDOWS\ehome\BladeRunnerPro\GuideData

Here is an alternative set of instructions:
