Do i need a master filter?

I recently upgraded to spark VDSL, and I am wondering whether or not a master filter is required for VDSL to work. I'm asking because through customer service the guy told me that it isn't required anymore but googling online everyone seems to say I need one.

It's not mandatory however it's strongly recommended and in many cases will improve your connection significantly.

Ahh thanks for quick reply, hopefully speeds will be fast enough without master filter since its quite expense to get someone to install master filter right

Depends where you are located; I think going rates are $150-$250 however it's only $30 in parts if you or a mates knows what you're doing.
