The Geekzone Handango Store is no longer accepting the most current discount code. Says it has expired.

Is the discount to be continued? Or is it over?

The Handango Discount Code promotion is being replaced by another promotion sometime soon. We'll be working to arrange higher discounts to the best seller software titles. The discount that we offered to our registered users may come back from time to time.

I know it seems strange, but in the long run, some discounts to the best seller will probably be more valuable to the users, since these are the applications more likely to be sold in volume.

Also, there are always some discounts available. Visit the Discounts and Specials page in our Geekzone Software Store for some good deals.

I'm keeping an eye on this, and informing Handango when users ask about it.

I think you should return the 15% Handango discount code. I think on any given order, we should have a choice of EITHER using the standard 15% code, OR ordering something with a current deep discount code. Or, just forget the deeper discounts and let us use the 15% discount. I looked through the offerings at deeper discounts currently, and these seem to be more obscure titles. I did not see any popular or well known package listed. So to reiterate, I recommend the return of the 15% discount code offering. Thanks.

uhm... after a quick glimpse at Handango's discount page, the deals are no different on Handango than on Geekzone's Software Store. Unfortunate.

Is it possible that Geekzone got its discount 'axed' to level Handango's playing field?

sgp617:

It's not Geekzone's call! Handango pulled the discount.

The 10% discount is gone? I'm not interested in a discount on some slow moving products of little or no interest.

Handango, please reconsider. The developers will be better off in the long run.

Remeber, this is a Handango issue.

Write to their support if you're not happy about it. I did!

Maybe if they get enough correspondence, they'll reconsider.

Good news... I now have a 25% discount code for the top 3 best seller applications on Geekzone. Keep an eye in our newsletter this Friday (15/Oct).

The discount is valid until end of November, and we'll monitor how it performs, so we can model other discounts on this one.

Wow! That's fantastic, Mauricio! What are the top three? (Bet I have them all! ;-( )

For Handango's latest greed grab, read on:

First they revoked virtually all of their discount codes that were out there.

Then they "convinced" as many developers as they could to offer a 20% discount through Handango. Now they offer that discount to users with Go-Pass accounts------for a fee of $10 to Handango!!! You have to pay upfront to get the discount! Worse yet, the discount code is only good for two months!

The 20% is coming directly off the developers - there is no cost at all to Handango. Just a "free" $10 grab!

With their fees to larger developers at more than 50% (Yes - no typo!), the programs are already going up in price!

I'm trying to stay away from them when I can! Parasites.
