hey I am on Bestmate and I am still being charged to send text messages to my best friends phone (the same number I gave to Vodafone) I am ringing up tomorrow but just curious as to anyone else who has noticed that as well. They have already taken the $6.00 from me for this months best mates thing and I got charged 11 cents to send the message.

Make sure when you send the TXT its in the correct format 021XXXXXXX or +6421XXXXXXX not 21XXXXXXX

11 cent charge is strange I would say its not for TXT

Are you using a IMPORT handset? Maybe for WAP charges

yeah, everythings correct, I went 021xxxxxx and I even used the option to insert a contact into the message when I signed up for Bestmate and the number was correct upon the time I signed up.

If you SMS BAL to 777 I think a SMS will come back showing your bestmate MSISDN

I just tested it on a prepay SIM and it shows the bestmate MSISDN

Best mate works like a dream for me.. I have not been charge for any use to my best mate number other then the $6.

If you text to get your balance you get to messages one letting you know your on the plan and another one letting you know your best mate number and balance,

R

oh darn I done it again and it came up with another one, another thing is that lately my account has been losing money.  For example this morning I had 3 bucks on there and now I only have 30 cents.  I have only sent $1.20 woth of text messages today and I aint on the 2000 texts for superprepay, would it be coz I am losing all this money??.

Something I was curious about that maybe johnr can answer - is the Prepay billing system any closer to "realtime" now?

For Voice and TXT I know they are real time but for packet data thats a good question!

The new prepay rating system is great as what I can tell from using it on bestmate!

I have done a few packet data sessions (not on vlive) and then check account Balance but this did not go down!
