Best mate is getting married 1 November, and due to a stuff up on the bride's side, we are short one wedding car which is green:

We only need it for a couple hours would take it in black if green isn't available.  Wedding is out at Glenbrook Railway (south auckland) and I'll come pick it up from anywhere in Auckland.

Happy to hand over copies of my drivers license and/or passport, plus you will be well reimbursed (we can negotiate geek toys and/or beer)

Am going to contact a rental car company, but my experience in the past is they will never guarantee the car you will get.

Any help with this would be very much appreciated.

Have you tried one of the car dealers? When I got married we wanted a second PT Cruiser for the bride - I couldn't find on any rental agency, but the local Chrysler dealer lend me one of their test drive cars for half day - we just had to have someone sober enough to drive it back there before 5pm.

Good idea.  Have just contacted a couple of dealerships, fingers crossed something comes back positive.

Oh, terrible sad mate, but you've got the wrong brand, I have a nice same age Oxford Green Ford XR6, or if you want wind it back a few years a two tone Green Mark 2 or 3 Zepher. Should you see the light and need a Ford PM me :)))

Not my choice, I have to listen to what the soon to be bride and groom want.

Having said that, I lean more to the Holden side, though I'm not fussy - I drive a Mazda at the moment, so I spose I'm a quasi-Ford man Smile
