Here's my little gift as a new comer to this forum:
I origionally posted it on the Orcon forums.
Plan Comparison Sheet

I basically plotted plans from Orcon, Xtra, Ihug, Actrix and Woosh on to a graph for easy comparison.
There are also tables for easy price comparison and suggestions based on how much traffic you use.

For people with high data demands it appears that Orcons got the best plans for now.(not)

[EDIT]
Now added SlingShot's plans, it now appears that they have the best 2m plans.
[EDIT 2]
Now with plans from WorldNet and WorldXChange(Xnet)
[EDIT 3]
Now with new plans from Actrix
[EDIT 4]
Now with new 3.5m plans from Slingshot, only the 30$/50GB's are shown though. It's getting a bit cluttered and people on such speeds suck a lot of data anyway.
[EDIT 5]
Now with new plans from Xtra and Ihug, take a look at xtra's 3.5m 10GB auto sense plans at the table section. It is actually possible to reach a jaw dropping $22.7k charge if you max it out to 1.1TB a month...

[EDIT 6]
Slingshot's extra data charges are now 25$ for 30GB and 40$ for 50GB

It's been 2 days and theres only one reply? I can really use some advice on the accuracy of my figures here especially for the Sling Shot plans and Ihug, I heard you can buy allowences for the advanced plans.

Thanks for that - it just saved me a heap of time!

What with the whole increase of speed, I was wondering if I could do any better than Orcon.. Apparantly not!

How about including the TCL cable plans on this as well for reference?

Perhaps you should label your axes? I can't get what's being plotted? Sorry for the ignorance.

I only consider plans that make sense and are available to most of NZ.

Ofcourse, just include a link back here for credit.

Another thing is the I'm busy with 3rd year CSE assignments right now (making an assembler...) so I haven't updated the ihug plans to their new ones yet.

Remember that this just became redundant, with this weeks changes to the broadband prices and packages across the board.
Though Telecom / Xtra is still a total waste of money compared to Slingshot.

Still, great work, and hopefully this will get updated (if the author can be bothered)

Not so useful for domestic packages - where the price differential isn't so great, but when it comes down to high-use packages REALLY interesting.

Across the board.

Telecom NZ just raised the speed options up to 3.5Mbit/sec

Xtra
200MB, 256kbit/sec for $30 + 2c per MB excess Charge
1GB, 2Mbit/sec for $40
5GB, 3.5Mbit/sec for $50
10GB, 3.5Mbit/sec for $60
10GB, 3.5Mbit/sec for $80 (512kbit/sec upload) + 2c per MB excess Charge (Do the Maths - that's a NIGHTMARE! - $20 per GB)
20GB, 3.5Mbit/sec for $100 (512kbit/sec upload) + 2c per MB excess Charge
40GB, 3.5Mbit/sec for $150 (512kbit/sec upload) + 2c per MB excess Charge
http://jetstream.xtra.co.nz/chm/0,8763,203086-202321,00.html

Slingshot is now doing
3GB, 256kbit/sec for $30
5GB, 2Mbit/sec for $40
10GB, 3.5Mbit/sec for $50
10GB, 3.5Mbit/sec for $80 (512kbit/sec upload)
http://www.slingshot.co.nz/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=999&tabid=11&subnav=3

iHug now only provides a 3.5MBit/sec speed, with decent useage caps
0.5MB + Crippling extra charge for $30
3GB for $40
15GB for $50
