Hi i let customisations run and now cant get connected to telecom. Any one know of a ROM or solution that will restore telecom settings?
I've got 6.1 and GPS but no Phone or txt capability.

Go to ppcgeeks.com and you will find the telecom nz stock rom. Downgrade the radio first, then flash the stock rom. But I wish you have a good luck. Because I couldn't make it work on my one.

Hi, thanks for yor reply, I found that TNZ stock rom last night, and flashed it without downgrading the radio (not sure how to do this)
but the phone hangs on reboot, so i reinstalled the alltel rom, which gives me a working pda, but still no phone.

Freebieman what do you hear when you try to make a call out? Do you hear a recorded message from Telecom saying the phone may be programmed incorrectly etc?

If so then you're experiencing the same thing that happened to me after flashing to 6.1. It is not a problem with the mobile, but it seems that something causes your mobile to fall off the network when the upgrade is done and it requires assistance from your carrier to get it working again. It took me a couple of phone calls to Telecom until I found someone with the expertise to identify and isolate the problem. Give them a call, if you they can't find it you might be best to get them to disconnect the phone altogether and then once done phone them again to get it reconnected.

Thanks, I'll give telecom a try. I am getting that recorded message and have set up the ESPT settings as they were when it was a Telecom Rom, so hopefully thats all it is.

PS I would recommend not mentioning the ROM upgrade -- they will more thank likely assume that that is the cause and not actually put much effort into finding the problem. Just tell them you turned your phone on this morning and the problem just started. That way they'll be forced to find the problem with the network rather than just blaming your phone.

I just spoke to the Telecom Mobile Operator and as suggested I didn't mention the upgrade.
She tested the network connection and said it was fine, and the problem must be on the phone itself.

She wanted me to check the settings by dialling ##147359, but my phone tried to dial the telecom network and it wouldn't enter the program mode. I think the Bell Customisations have changed the dialler settings.

She said to take it in to the Telecom Shop and get them to look at it, but they'll see that the phone has "BellMobility" on the front menu where it normally says Telecom. And probably wont be able to help either.

I fired an email off to Telegistics and told them about the upgrade, carrier customizations, radio update etc and asked them what I should do, or if they thought they could get it going again.

Hopefully I'll get a reply shortly.

##147359 becomes ##147359# with the updated ROM.

Call back and have another go, it is definitely a network issue. If you don't fancy going through it all again, just ask them to disconnect and then once the disconnection has gone through phone back and ask them to reconnect.

Steve, you're a miracle man.
After talking to Telecom this morning and things not working, I probably would have given up, but as you were so sure it was a telecom issue, I rang them again tonight, where they tried eveything in the book.
It was the last thing left for them to try, and that was to completely reset things from their end.
Took a few minutes, but I now have phone and txt capability on my Windows 6.1 phone.

What a relief!

Still dont have the standard telecom menu access even with the ##14359# as the alltel rom seems to have changed them all, and my outgoing txts are not being stored on the phone. Theres probably a non-destructive fix for this. I'll keep looking.
