Hi everyone, this is my first post here (geekzone virgin lol)

I have got a new Okta touch (and absolutely loving it). I wanted to change the default telecom splash page that comes up when you power up.

I have located the image in the phones windows directory and i have a replacement image that is the exact same size etc. However, i cannot replace it as it is a system file.

I know this may be a noob question, but is the something easy i am missing? is there a simple way to paste the new file in?

hoping you can help

Vinny

create the image for your screen size and save it as .. I think ... it's "welcomehead.192.png" then paste that into the windows folder on your device.
You may need to use something like total comander to paste the file over the old one as it is usually write protected.

Two files.
tnz logo240x320.bmp, I changed this but it did not actually change the bootscreen (main [Telecom] logo)
tnz_start.gif I changed this and it did change (okta animation)

while we are on the subject of customising, any new sms sounds and new ringtones have to go into [device]\application data\sounds\

enjoy it.

Lol I should've left it to the expert, with it's mobile the above is only for the GSM touch/vogue variant thanks!
