A friend at work signed up 2 or 3 weeks ago for Xnet broadband and for tolls.  He entered my details as the referrer.  I expected to see a credit on my account, but today when it arrived there was no mention of it.  Am I just being impatient?  I am aware that you get a credit for tolls only if your friend spends over a certain amount in the first month, so I guess the credit for the broadband connection is also applied only after 1 month.

I also referred someone for VFX, but afterwards realised there is no mention of a credit for VFX referral.  Is this correct, or is it simply missing from the web site?

Thanks.

I referred some friends too, and it took a month or so for the credit to appear. I guess they maybe wait until your referred froend has been there for a month or something and pays their bill.

Hi Niel,

The FriendxChange process works as following.

X Customer signs up and refers Y Customer.
X Customer receives first account.
X Customer must make payment for account.
Once the customer has paid and the records are updated the FriendxChange credit is verified.
Once the FriendxChange credit is verified a credit is placed on the Y account.

Because we bill in arrears this process may take 2-3 months to fully complete.  This will be why you don't have a credit on your account this month.  I assure you if the person has referred you the credit will happen after the above is completed.

Thanks Cameron, that mike is nice and clear.  I've made a previous comment that the WxC site in not very clear on procedures, this is one example.  Having this in your FAQ section would help, probably also reduce help desk requests.

One more question, can you please confirm if it is for only broadband and tolls referrals, not for VFX?

Currently we do not offer FxC credits for the VFX service, this does raise the question - Why don't we?  I'll pass the info on to the Sales and Marketing guru's, who I'm sure will contemplate putting something in place shortly.
