I recently had a lot of trouble with a WAG325N ADSL/Wireless draft-N router. I bought it thinking that it would be a safe bet given that WxC advocates the use of Linksys devices. I eventually returned it after discovering that its true throughput over ADSL was absolutely pitiful (about 200kbps down and 50kbps up), even though it was indicating it was syncing at 4000kbps down and 800kbps up in the status menu. Its configurability also paled compared to the Dynalink devices I had previously (no easily configurable local DNS settings, no dhcp IPs allocated by MAC address, etc.). I am not sure whether this was just the particular device I bought or whether it was endemic to all WAG325N devices. I therefore suggest for anyone buying Linksys for use with Xnet that they buy the devices certified by WxC and not just any device. Apparently not all Linksys devices are created equal. I am now happily using a Dynalink RTA1025W and getting decent sync rates and true throughput rates.
I can confirm that the 1025W does give good throughput, better in fact than the Dynalink RTA1320 & much better than my old Dlink DSL-G604T. All modems are plainly not created equal.
I also had the WAG325N but returned it as it was not compatible with xbox live wireless. Looking forward to the new one coming out. Though I did see a very cool looking Linksys Wireless G VOIP phone on the linksys.com website. Wonder how many years before that gets here :)
