Hi guys, as the title says when I scan for dvb-t channels I only find TV3, TV3+1 & C4. No TVNZ or Kordia stuff at all.

Im using a Blackgold BGT3540 with Windows 7 RC1 x86. I've rescanned a few times, tried rebooting and deleting the channels but still nothing. DVB-s and sky stb working fine.

Anyone else had this? Any suggestions? Anyone else here using one of these cards with Win 7?

Cheers

Wonder if your signal strength is a bit low. I've seen that at my house. I ended up putting in an amplifier...but i was also connected two dvb-t cards and a freeview IDTV so needed the splitting as well.

Thanks for the reply. I've used the same aerial before to get DVB-T in Mediaportal but that was a while ago. All channels seemed to work fine then which is what makes it a bit odd. Also, TV3 & C4 work fine

Is there a way I can easily test the signal strength?

What kind of amplifier should I be researching?

Cheers

It's not easy to check the signal strngth from within 7MC, but in MC if you got to setting->tv->guide->edit channels->select the name of the channel ie TV1->edit sources. It will tell you the Channel Number, Frequency and Quality and the Locator Info.

You could also try the ScanChannelsBDA utility, which gives strength/quality info for DVBT.

It should work with your Blackgold card.

Great, thanks for those.

In suspect the signal will be good as TV3 & C4 are absolutely fine, I get good analogue Prime reception and I''ve used DVB-Tbefore with this aerial.

Anyone got any suggestions if the signal strength is fine?

What kinda of amplifier did you use - brand/model etc?

I have the black gold 3450 card working in windows 7 rc and picking up all channels. Sometimes the signal goes too low and displays a message about signal loss.

Yeah, good old process of elimination did the trick. I was just confused for a bit as I was getting such a good TV3 & C4 picture.

Anyway...
