Hi,

I am the first and only one in New Zealand (Auckland based) capable of professionally testing High Voltage Traction Batteries - e.g. Prius /Lexus /Highlander / Camry Hybrid / Estima or any other HV Battery packs which are used in hybrid and electric vehicles. I have developed and build special tools to do that.

I test state of health; balance and remaining capacity of the entire pack on the individual module level in one go.
Toyota Dealership unable to do that kind of test – they will change the faulty pack to a new and quite expensive one (e.g. $4000) – good option if your budget allows that.
Wreckers who sell battery packs are unable to test them (and those could be anything from good to dead – I have tested dozens from wrecks).
People who attempt to fix Prius and other Hybrid Cars would benefit from that invention.
People who buy second hand Prius are asking about condition of the expensive HV Battery. I can help them to test those.
People who sell individual modules from Prius/Camry on Trademe / eBay do not provide test results, rendering their offerings no better than lotto tickets. I can assist them as well.
People deserve to make informed decisions on second hand / rebuild batteries. I fill in that need.

I can also charge depleted NiMH High Voltage Battery Packs (Prius - all generations; Camry; Lexus – all models) with my proprietary HV DC chargers in Auckland.
One of my sophisticated tools has already made its way to USA. And I am regularly getting inquiries from all over the world.

What’s in it for you? Donate my company one or two of those hybrid cars (year 2010 -2015): Lexus / Prius 30 or V/ Prius C / Camry, and get:

  • Public exposure for your company – “supporting innovative renewable energy technologies, proudly developed and made in New Zealand”;
  • Your company name and logo being advertised for 3 years on the donated car (car will be driving in Auckland,) and on my web-site (hosted in New Zealand of course as I support local business);
  • Free tests for your HV Batteries (once every 3 months) for 3 years;
What’s in it for me? Hybrid cars are needed for the company for testing purposes: Logging battery performance; capacity loss capturing; capturing other telemetry - geolocation; speed, elevation, mpg. We would be able to share that data with the general public to promote take on hybrids in New Zealand and use that data for the further R&D in the field of hybrid battery testing and re-build. Use second car for live tests of re-build packs.

Fun part (if you have time): Please try to find my web site and post here just two things:

  • Key word you’ve used (not necessarily from the text above) and how long (seconds) it took you to find it. That will be a good feedback of whether the site does it’s job.

"battery repair toyota"

You can also install analytics on your WordPress installation to track key words people used to find your website.  It's very handy for creating more effective key words and driving more residual traffic to your website.

If this isn't you, then I can't find you!  :)

I wish to thank your for the effort. Added +1 to your reply.

Keyword noted... Need to check that combination in the SEO.

Looks like hybrids.co.nz is Christchurch based possibly based on where the domain is registered.  Can't find any location information on the website.  Well, I can't find it easily anyway.  Not ruling out me being blind and stupid.

When I start searching more complicated and targeted searches compared to the content you discussed in this thread...This thread pops up in Google.  Damn you Geekzone! :P

I tried: "hybrid battery testing toyota nz" and "hybrid battery testing toyota nz ruki".  Now I'm just curious as to where your website is!  Put me out of my misery, haha!

My first attempt was 'Prius battery testing nz'. No obvious candidate.

"Hybrid battery servicing"

Nope...I get the Battery Clinic also as the only real match.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Not me. Never heard of them before. Just checked that site - their chargers are up to 180 V DC. Mine are up to 350 V DC Constant current (Some Lexus, First Prius, etc) :)
Thank you for the effort, added +1 to your post

Thank you for your effort. Not Clinic. Added +1 to your post. I really need to work on how it could be better discovered.
SEO is in place on site; keywords, which I though people would use are there (not what you've used though), looks like there is plenty of room for improvement for me, thanks!

I've just spent the past 15 minutes putting my 15+ years of google foo experience into trying to find your site, and no cigar. Even using super specific searches like "350v DC Constant current charger" etc.
I'm wondering if your robots.txt is forbidding search engines :)

Maybe just post your site here because A) This thread pops up in many of the searches anyway and B) Some of us could take a look to maybe make some suggestions to get your SEO up a bit.

Took me less than 10 seconds, but its all about keywords, if you dont use the correct ones then its hard to find, but it also helps if the site owner has the right keywords for google

took about 30 seconds when using the second search string.

Thanks for that. I have to add charger related key words (have not done it yet)
From top of my head I have disabled something in robots.txt - can't remember - need to refresh my memory what was that :(

I just now copied and pasted the following into google

"professionally testing High Voltage Traction Batteries - e.g. Prius /Lexus /Highlander / Camry Hybrid / Estima"

And result is http://www.hybrids.co.nz/   which i assume is said company, ironically Geekzone came up as a first result :P

Logically if i owned a hybrid though this is not a search term I would think to use so your company would remain invisible to me and I would be down at the battery clinic (fantastic company last time i dealt with them too- non hybrid related :P) to see if they could help me
