i have recently been upgraded to 4G RBI
now my programs seem to be taking up much more data per show.
is that because the quality is being adjusted for the speed.
is there a way i can turn it down to say 720.
we only get 80gb with RBI, i used 13 GB in a day before i realised what was happening

can i do anything about it, some video feeds give options for quality.
it was a good job i casually checked my usage, it was a wet day and i thought i would watch vikings and see how 4G worked.
it works real good,   we roll over in a couple of days and are rationing the remaining 1.5 GB

I know Netflix allows you to adjust play back settings between auto, high, medium and low quality. As we are on RBI as well, we have it set on medium. The quality is still pretty good. Low uses 0.3gb an hour, med 0.7gb and high hd 3gb and ultra ud 7gb. So there's a huge difference in the amount of data used. Oh to have unlimited!

This may need a separate rate limiting device to feed the appliance with Lightbox. At 2.2 Mbps should keep to only 1 GB per hour and I would hope Lightbox would happily adapt. Has anyone tried this?

I have not tried it. I doubt that a separate device is needed. Take your pick from many software solutions:

Edit: some of these are technical maybe post in a different forum to ask the best one

Use the image link on speed test and then post it here using the bbcode IMG tag. Bbcode instructions in the compose reply or quick reply
