Hi,
I need some advice please. Since December we cannot have our cordless phone plugged in without losing reception of several Sky channels. I called Sky, they said unplug the phone... and that fixed the problem.... but...
We have had the cordless phone within 1 metre of the Mysky STB for 18 months and had never had a problem in that time.
The problem started after an electrician had installed a new power point and a new phone jack in the wall beside the phone and MySky unit. He also put in a new faceplate/wall mount for the Sky cable.
Is it possible that the electrician removed something that was there previously and this has caused the problem?
I unscrewed the wall connection and the cable from the Sky dish connects directly into the wall connection. With the phone unplugged from the power supply, the Sky reception is fine.
Has anyone experienced this before and can point me in the right direction?
I don't want to call the electrician back without knowing a bit more about the problem and I would also like to know more before I call Sky to come around.
The phone is a Panasonic 1.8Ghz model.
Thanks
Spenser
