I've only had problems getting through to them today for some reason (called to check if they had received my direct debit authority). No matter what option I pressed, I got an engaged tone for most of the morning and some of the afternoon.

Tried later on and got "we are experiencing a high volume of calls" message so I figured they were having issues cos it's never that long of a wait usually.

They are still uncontactable. You either get the recorded message loop telling you to disconnect power and reconnect or if you press "0" to talk to a CSR you just get an engaged signal.

Pathetic!!!!!!!!!

Maybe this had something to do with it?

Sky glitch prevents viewers changing channel
8:33AM Wednesday Apr 29, 2009
By Beck Vass

A software upgrade was responsible for a glitch in Sky Television which left viewers unable to change channels yesterday.

Whenever I've had to call Sky tech. support (a pretty rare occurrence I might add), I have got through either immediately, or after a very short wait.  I think your difficulties are most likely related to yesterday's glitch, which was pretty widespread.  I went to my Mother-in-Law's place yesterday and she was affected by the problem.  At that stage, I wasn't aware of what the problem was, but just did the usual power-off/wait 10 secs/power-on routine and thankfully it worked.

A bad day for whoever pressed the 'Upgrade' button.

They have a recorded message for that and you can't get past it.

yep..been doing THAT for 3 days also

this is however becoming quite rediculess..perhaps sky feels that seeing as they have a monopoly on pay for view they can afford to let their customer support lax..same mistake Telecom did and it cost them and same attitude vodafone doing now and that too will cost them..

only matter of time before another pa per view steps up i guess
