I currently have MySky HDi, connected to my av receiver via HDMI.

I'd like to send a signal to an additional room. I saw a post in here that I can use 'baluns' to send this over cat6 (which i have wired into my home).

I figure, i could use baluns to send the component video/coax audio to another room via cat6.

But, I'm not sure the Sky box will allow multiple simultaneous ouputs.

Anyone know if the MySky HDi box will output HDMI signals and simultaneous component/coaxial out?

Thats how i have mine setup.
(although, I don't use coax digital audio to the bedroom TV -but whatever you put in one end comes out the other) (I have the sky decoder connected to my amp via optical)

The jaycar model I used had 6 RCA (3 x component, 1 x digital audio, 1 x composite, 2 x analog audio) but also has an IR repeater, so takes 2 x cat 5/ 6 cables.

I know it's capable of sending simultaneous HDMI and component signals... not sure if it can send all three (HDMI, composite and component) though.

I wired up the following:

Splitter from the Hdi: http://www.rapalloav.co.nz/product/1759/HDMI-Splitter/HDMI-Splitter/
HDMI over Cat-6: http://www.rapalloav.co.nz/product/1218/HDMI-over-Cat5/6-Extenders/HDMI-over-Cat5/6-Extenders/

It works brillantly but no IR repeater built into this option though. HD on two TV's.

I am currently sending HDMI to my TV (sitting above the MySky) and sending composite (via multiple baluns) to the otherside of the house. Works really well.

I did have it outputting via HDMI, composite and scart all at the same time but one day that just stopped. Not sure if there was a software update or not, but i found from that day on I could only have HDMI/scart or HDMI/composite. I got round the issue by splitting the RCA (composite) output into 2 seperate baluns to get Sky to 3 seperate rooms.

Ideally I would like to have HDMI to all three rooms, but the quality on the second and third TV's is more than acceptable for now.

I am also using a remote repeater and a Logitech remote to give full controll on the MySky to the other rooms also. Very simple setup but works well for us.

We have an AV Sender attached to the RCA Out terminals on the MySky box and an AV Receiver plugged into the TV downstairs in the kitchen. We can watch Sky wirelessly downstairs in the kitchen and control it from there because the AV Rx/Tx set-up sends the Sky remote commands back from the kitchen to the MySky box. (The main HDMI output from the MySky box is driving the HD receiver and telly upstairs).

Also have another Rx plugged into the AUX on the stereo near the kitchen so we can watch Sky in the kitchen and have the sound coming through the stereo.

I have a third Rx plugged into a third TV in another room and can do the same thing there.

It's all watching the same channel but it works brilliantly for what it is. Obviously not HD on the kitchen and third TVs.

A pair of Tx/Rx was about $100 plus about $70 each for the extra Rx's.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
