This sounds odd but I am sure when the fridge compressor cuts in and out MySky goes black for a second. Im sure its mysky and not TV cause i dont recall this happening when using my PS3.
This can only be one of two things happening here, the power surge that the fridge creates is cutting out sky OR by some chance the starting stopping of fridge motor creates a certain RF interference that is affecting SKY, more testing needed to be sure.

Has this happened to anyone or has anyone even heard of something like this?

Hi, its a commonly known issue for motors, in particular heat pumps and fridges to cause issues like this. How close is either the dish or the RG6 feed from the dish to the fridge.

Heh, reminds me of the old dialup days... every second call was from someone getting cut off when their fridge turned on/off - move phone cable away/to different socket and problem was resolved.

I had a friend with the same problem. Swapped out the cheap Sky-supplied HDMI cable with a cheap one from a computer shop and the problem was solved. Maybe the Sky HDMI cable isn't shielded?

What? A cheap HDMI cable? You guys should go for a US$500 Monster cable...

You only know it's too cheap when you can't see a picture anymore!

I spent all my money on an oxygen free, directional, gold braided 3 pin power plug...

So I am assuming it is RF interference, in my current house there is no way of creating more room between fridge and sky, So i will swap with better HDMi cable and see how i go
