I'm not.  I don't think the content is worth $10

Just wondering what people have decided about the channel and the cost.

Haven't even watched an hour of the channel, $10/month is too much I rekon, and I prefer to watch when I like, not at set times.

And also since we only have the basic package (and only because we got a half price deal) it would cost and extra $25 on top of the $10 sub for SOHO if I want it in HD and be able to record to watch when I want. Much easier to download them elsewhere.

I was enjoying Game of Thrones, but there's no way I'll be forking out money to continue watching it.

Nothing else I saw on the channel really grabbed me I'm afraid.

Cheers

I've subscribed today, because I've become hooked on the latest season of Dexter. Currently thats the only show I've watched, although I have been recording Game Of Thrones. I'm hoping it will come into its own during the Summer TV season.

Treme is a good show if you haven't been watching it!

I saw a 'making of' promo for that one. Looked pretty interesting.

I haven't subsacribed yet, but will do.
I've been watching game of thrones and boardwalk empire. both awesome.

I've swapped it out for sport though, so am paying ~$10 less than I was before.

My wife initially wanted me to swap Sport for it. I don't really need that until Super rugby starts again next year, but I do enjoy the occasional ODI. Depending on what the USD does, I may still do that yet. I guess I'll have to ring up to do that, as the wizard on the Sky website only seemed to allow adding new content.

Just figured that out myself. Thier help service directs you to an email form regarding removal of channels.

What doesn't help is that it doesn't give an indication as to what rearrangeing the packages would cost me (ie. if it is part of a movies pack etc).

Hmm... that may work in my favour.

Wife: I though you said you were going to remove Sky Sports
Me: I tried. It can't be done. Sorry.

Yeah, that'll hold up in court ;-)

If I read the note from my wife correctly, we've been offered it until the end of Dec for free... Anyone else?

I have decided to subscribe for Dec/Jan, and then decide whether or not to continue past that point later. If the quality holds up once the promo month has finished, and I am still watching, I will probably keep it.

Like others commenting, I have also swapped out sport tho take it as, outside the rugby season, I simply don't watch sport. Value-wise it is proving much better than Rialto recently - the Rialto lineup has really dropped away in recent months and I am close to cancelling.

Material I have been watching is Boardwalk Empire, The Hour and Game of Thrones - and that's pretty much it. Loving the ability to watch quality drama without ad breaks every seven minutes and someone screaming at me to "Go Harvey Go!". Well worth $10/mo for that alone.

I just wish they would stop flashing those irritating "whats on next" banners up on the bottom of the screen while the shows are still playing, Grrrrrr.......
