Trying to be sneaky and save money by taking a multi room decoder from my parents house and using it at our house.  Have plugged it in but get a continual rain fade/atmospheric conditions message.  Obviously can't ring sky, can anybody help??

Cheers :)

Probably wrong LNB settings. Check settings between the two STBs.

Don't really know too much about it but i've tried every LNB and every satellite but no luck.  Would this happen if we were missing a cable?

What cable do you think you are missing??

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

I had to replace our Sharp Dual-throat LNB this week which was originally installed by Sky.  If you have one of these which is 5 years old or more, it is highly likely to be suffering from frequency drift of the LO (according to NZ Digital TV forums).  Both houses on our property have these same LNBs and both were afflicted by this problem.  Freeview Shop have a great selection of LNBs at reasonable prices.  I chose the MTI one @ $39.95 and it has significantly improved the reception of SBS channels from Aussie.
