IGLOO DISAPPOINTED TO ANNOUNCE LAUNCH DELAY
New Zealanders will have to wait a little longer before they can plug in IGLOO.
Chaz Savage, General Manager of IGLOO, explains, “It is so disappointing to have to say that we are not in a position to launch. We are genuinely gutted. We’re dealing with a full technology build: hardware and software – no mean feat and never without its challenges. The product is 95% ready – and that 95% looks great but we need to get that last 5% polished before we press play. The bottom line is that we have extremely high expectations, and we’re not willing to launch a product which is not absolutely perfect. Our customer trial group has provided us with valuable insights around a few small changes we need to make to ensure IGLOO is in tip top shape.”
A closed group of customers are presently testing the IGLOO product from ordering an IGLOO box through IGLOO’s website or call centre, to buying events on IGLOO’s pay-per-view sports channel FRONT ROW, and streaming movies direct to their TV.
“This trial provided us with valuable insights. We’ve listened to feedback, collected surveys and we’re taking the time to make sure that is reflected in the product before we launch. Please be patient – we can assure you it will be worth the wait.”

BuzzLightyear: I'm getting quite impatient. I've been trying to find out whether they will screen all Warriors games or just some and can't get a straight answer.
I'm okay with the fact that they have launch delays, thats quite normal. I'm not okay with the lack of clarity and detail of their product offering. They could tease us more with whats coming rather than stopping all the information.

"Customers will be able to watch All Blacks, some Super 15 and Warriors games and some other big sporting events for about $14.95 per match."

Ouch that is quite high. Is that going to be in HD I wonder?

+1 Ouch. And yeah, in HD for that price?!

KiwiNZ: Better they launch late than launch broken.
