Question

There have been threads covering how good the streaming is. I find a PC or Mac is "ok", but its not 100% smooth all the time, missed frames. Annoying TBH. My brain  start seeking that out. iPad Airplay is great, PSx is great.

Chromecast is?

I want it to be no different than my WDTV to Panny plasma or iPad Air to ATV to Panny. If I am casting from the PC/Mac will that be limited to what the PC/Mac does. which is 6.5/10

Just tried Cast from my S4 it to a compatible Android TV system and no joy. Just hangs and appears to buffer as soon as the program starts :(

Youtube, Ted casts fine so it's not working out of the box for me.

Will try at home with the Chromecast.

Exciting times.

Evidence so far suggests that Android TV is a little wonky compared to "normal" Chromecast devices. We're looking into it.

Lightbox - we are online TV.

After resetting my Chromecast I can cast from my iPhone. The Android App still crashes constantly.

Yeah same here sort of. Streaming, once started, works very well. Have had one thing not start. Gave up on it.

The Lightbox App itself on the S4 has crashed at least four times. Streaming carries on so it has only annoyed me and not the rest who are watching the TV (the big, not so new, non-Samsung TV). Scrolling through categories is also a bit weird. You get near the end and shows start repeating.

But at last. Lightbox on a real TV!
