trig42: I can't cancel Sky completely just yet, but I did call up to remove sports and SoHo on MOnday - they were great to deal with. Still wish you could do it on the website.

Question - is it confirmed that TV1,2,3 are in HD on MySky HDi without the HD ticket?

If it helps, an hour recording on 1,2, and 3 takes up twice as much room as an hour of prime.

Correct, there's only just the standard encryption for Video Guard.

Recently cancelled Sky. They didn't even try to give us a discount or bonuses. They offered to put the service on hold which is a weird offer when you are trying to cancel. I now put that $100 a month to beer and taxi money. Which is a much more enjoyable way to watch sport!

Odd approach from Sky though you think they would be fighting harder to keep customers. I went to cancel Audible recently they offered me half price so I stayed. Makes me feel like I got a deal tongue-out

For me it based on what I watch it doesn't make sense to cancel. Can see for those that like only a certain area that it does.

The interesting thing is to see what is going to happen in the future.  Just my thoughts but I can see less high quality content being made and the price to stream that content rising.

At the moment cable/FTA (via advertising) is subsidising streaming but as more move to streaming that cost will have to follow them especially if advertising revenue keeps on dropping.
