I use a pair of 5.8GHz ones that a friend got for an aborted camera on a plane project to beam mine out to the portable set. noisy as hell and very spotty reception. Probably would be solved with some better antennas.

For remote return I have a cheap set of 433MHz things. First lot failed with the mysky but the second lot that were sold as being mysky compatible work a treat. They do crap all over the 433MHz band when there are CFL's on in the room making my weather station not work.

Our house got robbed a few weeks ago and the bastards took our mysky remote (but left the decoder). I went into the Palmerston North sky branch and they were real nice about it and actually gave me a new one for free (I was initially quoted $25).

Just head into one of the local branches and see what they say.

I'm running my sky to the bedroom via cat6 and hdmi baluns with a remote extender. I wanted an extra remote for the bedroom and went to the Sky office here in Palmerston North. I told the lady behind the desk about my setup and that I wanted another remote, she just smiled blankly and asked if I wanted to pay cash ($25) or charge it to my next bill...........Bob's your Aunty.
