Sorry, I did not know SkyHD uses MPEG4 with h.264.
Just to explain what I was saying: With MPEG2 the standard does not require set top box manufacturers to implement a deblocking filter so depending on the manufacturer, the picture can look better or worse. But with h.264 it is required to implement a deblocking filter so the picture will always look better (for a comparable bit rate).
