If it's the tv why only tv3?

Picture goes back a fraction of a second then it carries on normally. Sound and picture remain in sync.

It's NOT your TV.  Mine does exactly the same as does a neighbour's set.  Both on Mysky.  Ive not noticed it on Freeview UHF though.

I turned off all post processing and still have the issue. Has jumped a couple of times during TV3 news tonight.

We nearly always record 3 News and noticed it just before Christmas but thought it was because we were recording it and frequently fast forwarding. It only flickers for a fraction of a second and isn't a problem for us but wonder what's up? Like the OP we only see it on TV3.

It just happened now on three news.

The fisherman story where he stole a fish from a tank.

When it showed the sharks in the aquarium, it jumped there. If it happened at that time to everyone else then sky/tv3 need to get it sorted.

I might have to switch to watching one news.

I've been seeing this same issue on TV3 for a while now too. I thought it was a problem with the MySky box but I haven't got round to calling Sky about it yet.

And I can confirm that I saw it happen during the "fish stolen from the aquarium" as well.

I've also had this issue - BUT I have also noticed it when using live pause and when we fast-forward thru ads and get within a minute of catching up to the live broadcast - almost like the decoder doesn't quite know what it should be showing - the live broadcast or the recodrded one.

The jittering only happens on TV3 in live TV broadcasts - most notable (as mentioned above) on Graham Norton broadcasts.

I have a widescreen analog receiver CRT. There was some weird stuff on analog last night around the same time as the sports news. TV One and TV Two. It was like the aspect ratio was changing slightly at different points during the broadcast. The image also lost contrast during that time. Never seen this kind of thing before.

I thought it was our MySky HD box! It's been happening for awhile now and seems to be getting worse in this past week. Only on channel 3.

Mostly I have my aspect ratio set on Normal unless I'm watching a movie. In Normal I get the weird flickering aspect changes. If it set aspect ratio Auto then it goes away.

Note this is analog tv and no Sky involved. Could be a transient reception issue but never seen this before and interesting it is happening same time as the Sky issue.
