I believe the upgrade will be OTA - no need to plug anything in.

The upgrade that they were talking about has already been done.

In the supplementary info they have stated the following:

Also rather than using Ethernet over power, which tends to need dedicated power points to function well, couldn't you use a wireless range extender with Ethernet ports? Does such a thing exist cheaply?

The only "improvement" I am after is extending the length of planer to more than 10 days or whatever it is.

The sky guide has the whole next month listed so I want the same on the programming guide.

See things advertised and go to book and find not listed in the electronic programme guide just annoys me.

A good improvement would be not cutting off programs I record by not matching the start time of the recording with the time the program actually starts, which happens quite often!

I imagine it's pretty tough to retrofit wifi hardware into boxes that don't have it via a firmware update.

did you read the articles? it say they will be upgrading the old non my sky ones to new my sky ones with wifi capibility

there is also an option on my sky to add extra to the start and end of your recording to prevent programs that run a little behind from having the start/end cut off could try using that?

Wifi adaptor for the USB port? Or perhaps they'll release a wifi adaptor for the Ethernet port.

There are lots of options really.

I seem to remember that the sky uk boxes have Wifi and/or Ethernet, so I suspect it might be just coming in to line with that.
