Shoes2468:paulmilbank: Yep, I think so. Much like Igloo, Sky is doing the bare minimum to stave off new services and competition. You get the feeling they just want all this new fangled internet stuff to go away so they can get back to charging too much for a crap and expensive satellite service. Even there, with all that profit, they have put nothing into moving to DVB-S2 and H264 which would give better bandwidth use and picture for their viewers. But that would take rolling out new decoders instead of using the current ones which are so old now.
I think you will find they are going to be replacing all the old sky boxes for dvb-s2 devices this year and next.
Proactively or only for new customers?
