JimmyH: I'd be happy if they kept the channels/pricing they have now, and just stopped interrupting the programming with a wall of ads/promos every 8 minutes.

@networkn - I'm in a similar position, but it's the end of the new series of GoT rather than the RWC that will probably dictate when I cancel.

Unbroken sub since 1996, but not only do they treat long-time existing customers like something they scraped off their shoe, we get none of the offers extended to new joiners. Personally, I've had enough.

Will wire things up this weekend so I can pipe Netflix/Lightbox to the main TV, test them out, and if they are good enough for my needs then Sky goes bye-bye.

I filled out a sky survey the other day. It was comparing streaming content, to live content.
Of course I rated the streaming content higher, so I guess Sky will interpet the survey as people like streaming better.
If a program on netflix, or it's on the zone, I'll watch netflix everytime, not because it's streaming, but because their not interupting the program every 10 minutes.

If not into sport and geo unblock netflix, yep easy to say bye sky, just not sure how long geo unblocking will last as there will be big money trying to end it.

I'm still none the wiser as to what the Important Pricing Information was. I suspect it was just a re-used/automated subject line.

So much for Sky dropping to a reasonable price.
