Dingbatt: Won't cancel completely, but will now revisit the need for sport and movies. The other thing that may retain my interest is the on-demand offering. Hopefully I won't be expected to pay more, because that's not going to happen!

Ti\ks for reminding me, the on demand stuff. Added value, I heavily doubt there is a cost, I see this as a means to hold churn in check.

On-demand system is actually pretty decent from my use so far, shame about the sluggishness of the UI :-(

Beta tester.  Can't say much obviously, but on-demand works well, the rest of the UI not so...

Any chance of an app?  While OTOH thats not relevant if its on the Sky box, but if a user was using say a new AppleTV at the time, its nice to stay on that to flick to Sky Ondemand rather than having to switch devices. If you can't say, thats all good

I cancelled it this year as I was sick of paying almost $50 a month when I only watched 3-4 channels on any regular basis. The money I was spending on Sky I felt was better utilised elsewhere. They made no attempt to try and retain me either.

tdgeek: I am intending to. Holding off for RWC, may as well hold off for MotoGP and F1 to end which is weeks away now.

I don't see a hoard cancelling. They could have cancelled last week, last month, last year. Those that got Sky for RWC will cancel in months. So I don't really see much churn going on, no more than usual, and that is low. Sky is quite sticky for many. Ive read some here cancel as the content is $%%^&  Why did you still have it??

Should streaming get more advertising air time, and should Sky lower prices that is what I will watch for over coming weeks. I pay $100, Basic, Sport, MySkyHDi, HD.  If that went to $49 as the deal we see, great, I'd keep it. If it went to $75, yeah, keep it

At $75, you'd stream Netflix and Lightbox and still be $50 better off to boot, so it's beyond me why you would stay with Sky.

I couldn't believe when Sky launched Neon that they didn't bundle it free for their $120+ per month existing subscribers. Outdated corporate greed.

Bit of a wild criticism.

Let me know where BBC Knowledge and CI and NatGeo and History and MotoGP and Formula 1 are on Netflix and Lightbox.

Its about content. For some, Sky content is meh, for others thats where their content lives.

Just cancelled it, no going back. Have 4 rokus with UK on demand channels and live ones. About to get an amazon fire tv (both USA and UK channels on it) but need to find a shipping option that works. Netflix World also makes TV viewing a pleasure...

I cancelled half a year ago, I have HBO Go, Netflix and Hulu + (add-free)... with a VPN.
I watched Prime to see the WC Final and really, the main driver for us to drop MySky initially was that everything we series linked was actually on the Freeview channels...

I find it interesting that Sky is a lot like Microsoft. Some people think it is okay, some loathe it, no-one loves it.

Neon is actually a backwards way of doing things. All they did was put old TV shows online and charged a premium for it ($20? Really?) I don't know why they bothered, they could have made a killing with it.
It wasn't until some people kicked up a stink they started using it to show some programmes (Game of Thrones comes to mind) "express" from America, etc (usually on the same day as it's screened there).
I found this review of all the different services interesting when they were all still in their launching phase:
