Rentakill: I don't know why Sky just didn't adopt Foxtels User interface. They use the same MySky/IQ boxes and offer a few variations of User interface choices.

A previous comment earlier about Sky obviously having no UI specialist is totally correct.

Something to check : Guess where you find the power save option on the mysky/Kaon boxes ?. Previous to this major upgrade it was found in the settings menu
.. guess where it is now!...

 

 

 

press setup (or the box says in the top left of the screen Settings)

 

press down blue arrow key to get to recording setup

 

press select

 

go down to auto standby (energy saving mode)

 

use left or right arrow key then press GREEN to save

 

press SKY (top centre of the blue buttons top row of the remote) for live tv.

 

 

 

At a guess.

Yep..that's pretty much where it can be found.
All of a sudden power saving schemes are part of the recording setup menu.. pretty logical ?...i don't think so.

Just shows you what type of Muppet(s) they have playing with these boxes... totally no idea.
