I'm wondering if iPhone X use stats appear low as everyone is waiting a month so they can remove their old phone from the device limit?
Currently my case :/
The app on the Sony Android TV got replaced the other day so I hit my limit while sorting that.
@georgefromlightbox while you're got stats there, are you able to see how many people are on mobile devices rather than a streamer/computer/tv?
I'd have thought most of those that can afford an iphone x would have been pushing (via airplay, chromecast) at a tv and no looking at a 5" device.

Lightbox doubt that Apple's flagship phone will achieve 'market penetration'? Bwahahahaha.
Maybe Apple will change the iPhone X's aspect ratio to fit in with Lightbox's offering.h
This is a bit condescending don't you think? He is just trying to help out.

I thought that as well....likened to all the @'s directed at the banks, "support my phones payment system or I'm moving", like it's an entitlement.

I can't speak for anyone else; but when I use the iPhone for Lightbox it is when I'm away from home, so I watch directly on the phone. When at home I use the PS4 app.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Yeah, I thought a little unnecessary. I was trying to keep it more civil and constructive (that was my intent at least, and I hope my posts came across that way).

Right, I must admit I use netflix a little, but it has the offline feature...the trouble with it I find though it for a series I have to manually download (also my train commute is not long enough). I tend to prefer the podcast model where the next in order just appears (I force youtube videos into the podcast app for this reason). Most are for listening to though...
Anyway, enough off topic.

No worries. Have recreated it here (the white Home Bar, alongside the known issue with the aspect ratio).
Our stats on iPhone X usage make it hard to justify fixing ... :/
On the other hand, not a great look to not properly support the flagship model of the worlds most popular smartphone.
iOS may well be the worlds most popular smart phone but that doesn't tell the whole story. Gartner's statistics show Android making up just over 80% of smart phone sales with iOS at less than 18% The iPhone 7 will be a much smaller subset of the iOS total.
Apple have a habit of swimming against the flow and not adopting standards used by nearly all other smart phone manufacturers. I'm thinking here of things like their connection/charging port. Everyone else agreed on USB being the standard but Apple did their own thing. Headset jack wiring is also different.
I wonder that the new screen ratio is another case of iOS doing their own thing. Unless the aspect ratio is adopted by other manufacturers then the total number of devices using this ratio will remain quite small therefore making it a hard decision for companies like Lightbox to support that ratio.
Until now 16:9 and 4:3 ratios have matched other standards and fit with most other media. For example 16:9 is the standard wide screen format. What media supports/uses 19.5:9 ratio?
For a long time Apple refused to make a 16:9 device when this was standard for nearly every other manufacturer. They steadfastly stuck to 4:3.

Ultimately this means I'm just not gonna use Lightbox on my iPhone X, whereas I used to use it all the time on my 7+. NBD, Lightbox just loses out on my custom.
rugrat: If I needed a new phone I wouldn't be buying iPhone x.
Apple deviatiated from 16:9 ratio so I would expect the picture not to fit screen.
Apple deviated from the standard but so have Samsung's flagships S8 and S8+. These phones are the trendsetters, so how long will 16:9 phone screens remain the standard?
EDIT: The main problem appears to not be the aspect ratio anyway, but rather how the app deals with (or fails to deal with) the Home Bar.
Technofreak: What media supports/uses 19.5:9 ratio?
Probably none, but 21:9 is what a lot of movies (more than half?) are filmed in, and it is becoming more common for TV shows to be filmed wider than 16:9. This will all display better on a 19.5:9 screen.
