I just had mysky hdi installed delay wasn't very long I think I had to wait 2 weeks but that was mainly because I booked it at Christmas time.

They install it using an HDMI cable and they check it's all working before they leave. The sport in HD is amazing quality compared to the regular SD stuff

I personally wouldn't put anything on top of the mysky box because I believe the vents to cool the mysky box are on the top of the box and I've put my hand on mine because I was also curious about this exact thing and it runs pretty hot, so although it's not likely to cause any damage I can't imagine it would be ideal.

I gave sky a call late last month to arrange a Multi Room install with a 2nd My Sky HDi Box. I called them on a monday morning and they offered me an install for later that week (thursday). I'm in the metro Auckland area. They were relieved when I said I didn't want it installed until last week when I was on annual leave.

That said, it is quite possible they were jumping through hoops as original HDi install was booked for an AM install and the man didn't arrive until 3.30pm and didn't call to say he was running late or that he would come in the afternoon. I took issue with them that I was missing out on a days worth of wages to twiddle my thumbs - and my employer was NOT impressed...
