allstarnz: actually, I see the January Sky Guide is advertising the coverage as being in HD, which means as least there should be something HD.

It would be awesome if they did this as a 'press red' service like the BBC do with the olympics in the UK. Basically, when you're watching the olympics and press red you're then given a menu of events that are currently on, and you select the event you want to watch. The video is often embedded in an interactive screen with more details and information about the even you're watching, with an option to toggle between full-screen video and on-screen menu with links to the other streams. All these different streams could be considered as 'channels' I suppose -- it would certainly make watching it feel more 'tied-together' than five separate channels that you have to flick through manually.

lukei1: Stupid question, if you get Sky through Telstra all these extra channels appear just like for a normal Sky subscriber, correct?

Yes... Digital Only.  IF you subscribe to Sports package or Sports/Movie package you will recieve them

Only on Sky Sports channels.. not on the individual Olympic channels.

He means the Winter Olympics later this month / early next month, not the upcoming Commonwealth Games I think.

Let me clarify... The 4x individual Winter Olympic Channels, from Feb 13th.. will be SD...
There's always a possibility that Sky will be showing HD highlights on Sky Sport 1 HD, but that's the only place.
