I know I can't watch live sports because I don't have multiroom, but I've noticed some fo the catchup stuff says "free for OnDemand subscribers", and I can't access it

anyone know what that means? I didn't even know you could subscribe to OnDemand, I thought it was pay per view.

Just tested iSky (wonder when the Apple lawyers will say that the name belongs to them) . No overly impressed. I'm on Orcon and DUMeter says that the down stream is 4.07Meg/sec but there is sure allot of buffering going on as lest with CNN live stream. Not too impressed with what's on offering. channel wise. Thought I could use it at work to watch the Superbowl but I can't see ESPN there. The resolution is average for this sort of thing on a 46" screen. Looks OK in a laptop.

I've actualy found the quality of the stream in terms of buffering to be very good.  starts quickly, and once it starts, it keeps going, and I only have a 2Mbps connection.

However, like you, I have found the picture quality to be pretty poo.  Just about watchable on a 14" monitor, but you wouldn't want to put it through a TV.

I tried it at home and on a fast connection, both of which impressed me. It's not amazing and certainly not TV quality. But for a web stream in NZ, it's not too bad. It's not quite up to the level of some of the pay ones like NFL Gamepass (that looks amazing on highest quality). It's a shame they don't have ESPN on offer there.

There were lots of complaints about it being buggy etc, but for me it's behaved so far.

I too can't complain with my experiences with iSky.
Hardly any buffering, which is good.

The video is below average on a large monitor but it is what I expected to stop 'sky piracy'.
If we were given 720p streams, then I could go to my mates house, hook up a laptop to a TV, and watch a live rugby match, or even just give him my login. Not very smart business wise.

Very hit and miss here, most of the time all I get is "the selected content is not available" but the next day the same channel works fine. Case in point, both sports 1 and 2 today for the cricket. For the record yes I do have multiroom and my package does include both these channels.
