Thank you for all those who replied to the petition, it is working. I rang Sky this afternoon, there is some news of a "deal" they are trying to make with the BCCI. Will let you know as I get more info.

I like cricket and I couldn't really give a toss about the IPL.

I think their money is better spent trying to invest in getting other rights, especially when they have it available on YouTube anyhow. The BCCI are too full of their own importance and charge too much for cricket anyhow. Don't see why Sky should bleed themselves dry for this tournament anyhow.

As an aside, Network Ten (the owner of One HD in Australia) took the BCCI to court, don't know if Sky's claim is related.

I believe it is involved with Network Ten's issues in Australia.

DarkCypher: It's not sky's fault they made their offer, it's the BCCI being greedy pricks and no amount of complaining or petitioning will help.

What he said.

I dont get everyone blaming this on SKY - they made an offer, they made an attempt to get broadcasting rights.  They were rejected by the rights holders.  How does that translate to "lol sky are too cheap to screen our cricket"

Sky is enjoying monopoly here, if we have a competition. I am sure the situation would be different.

Hate u SKYTV, not only for not showing IPL but also not providing HD content.

Cheers

Not exactly HD quality, and plenty of Indian adds, but www.crictime.com does stream the matches.
