For games shown at pubs, surely a broadcast format that works with polarised glasses will be ideal.
But for home viewers, a majority of people tuning in will have the 'side by side' format, meaning Sky will need to show the 3D matches on two different channels as well as the standard 2D format.
With 3D coming out on pretty much all TV's for 2011, it's not surprise to see this move come about. And having seen the Football W/Cup 2010 on 3D BluRay, it is a pretty cool spectacle...
With the Polarised type 3D (in home TVs) you can select top/bottom side/side 3D modes as per usual, just the way they are rendered on the screen is different.
