One of the channels was previously on freeview, kidszone/tvnz6, while one has content paid for by taxpayers through the licensing fee, heartland. The other few aren't particularly inspiring channels, possibly Nat Geo is Ok. But it isn't in HD from what I have read, so $25 per month is a bit steep for just that I think, when you can get a lot of free content through youtube, and in HD too. People want PVRs these days, not just a set top box, and most TVs now have freeview boxes built in.
I struggle to see who the market is for this, possibly the elderly who already have sky and want a cheaper option, or elderly with an old CRT.
Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
