freitasm: I have posted my Igloo review now. Ask away :)

cool

How does the TV content available compare to Quickflix?

Do they have things like Game of Thrones or similar recent stuff?

How about older, but still popular, things like the Sopranos, Lost, 24?

Much in there for scifi geeks?  Star Trek? Stargate?

Mauricio, was there any indication in your discussion with Igloo about the possibilities of this box picking up the Quickflix channel and other Freeview MHEG5 services? And compliments of the season to you and yours - and appreciation for the wonderful work you go on Geekzone. Regards.

Thanks...

No mention of the Quickflix/Freeview thing, which doesn't surprise me seeing it would be a direct competitor.

Hmmm. Just hit the Pause button and even though it says a 8GB USB key can have up to 57 minutes buffer it came back with "sorry, full storage, live TV resuming" in about one minute.

Might reformart the USB key.

One thing missing: if Live Pause is not active it should really keep a moving buffer in the USB key so you could rewind live TV like you can do on TiVo and Windows Media Center.

Gee I thought this thread would be flat out now that the jolly thing has finally launched.

If the Igloo box was also a PVR I would have thought hard about getting one early but I'm happy to wait for the inevitable $99 sales in the new year.

Don't see why, it is basically just a freeview type set top box. A additional things, but not mind blowing.  Tivos are capable of doing a lot more, and they are PVRs too. Problem is they don't have the content.

Thats pretty weak sauce considering how much content and cash Sky and TVNZ jointly have access to.

I'll stick with Quickflix, Netflix and Pirate Bay Tongue Out

Yep ive had my Igloo for months (Trail customer) and there is a big letdown of big name titles available. Very disapointing.

Did trial customers feedback concerns about the amount of outdated rental content available?

Cant speak for others but I think I mentioned something, also mentioned about the lack of Front Row titles available (Although I guess this comes down to demand unless they open more than 1 channel for it) and also the price of Front Row I thought was a tad expensive, but thats just me.

Front Row seems expensive. Any rugby titles appeared during the trial?
