Prime is showing All Blacks game live. Im sure they wouldn't dare show adverts during the game. If they do Fanpass will be promptly turned on

Prime is of course only SD and stereo sound, on both UHF/terrestrial/freeview HD and freeview satellite platforms.

Fanpass at 720p is potentially better quality.

I had some tweets with Prime earlier. They are putting adverts in the games, but I got the impression that you wouldn't miss any of the game but you'd fall further and further behind "live".

Prime is FTA, and is RWC free? No. Someone has to pay, Sky could just make it Fanpass or Sky Sport only. Be thankful it is FTA.

Want to watch the RWC games for free (1 week)? Just received this in my inbox from Neon:
Not sure of its only for Neon subscribers, but it may be worth a try.

Simply use the code NEONRWC15D before 11.59pm 28th October 2015   to redeem your free week pass.

  • Go to fanpass.co.nz and click on subscribe
  • Select the week pass and enter the promo code and your details to create an account (you won't need to enter your credit card details to complete the transaction)

Two games tomorrow morning, SA vs Wales, and NZ vs France.

Seems to be working

Welcome to 7 Days of sports action with FAN PASS!

You’ve now got full access to SKY SPORT channels 1 to 4, from your PC/Mac, tablet and selected mobile devices.

Watch on your big screen
Remember, you can also watch on your TV through Chromecast; AirPlay; mirroring from your Android device or using an HDMI cable, if you have a compatible device.

I'm watching the womans rugby live on Chromecast. Quality seems to be a bit better than last time I tried it out.
The live games though may be a different story.

Interesting. I searched geekzone in the searchbar for that code before posting. It came back with no results, so I assumed it had not yet been posted.
Searching again now still shows no results. Apologies for duplicate post.

Thanks for sharing guys - enjoyed that.  Once again FanPass "just worked", excellent quality throughout.

Mine was pretty good, during the last 10 it paused and became pixelated every so often. Changing the Fan pass channel seemed to help.

Does anyone know if Prime put ads in their coverage as expected?
