I have to say we are considering getting rid of it. We got a smart TV running Android TV last year and to be honest, have hardly watched Sky since. Mainly because the picture quality on many channels sucks compared to Netflix.

I do have periods where Netflix runs out of things I want to watch though and the movies are soooo old.

If I am honest, there is just far too much content - and ways of accessing it - for me to get my head around any sort of sane approach to it.  There are not enough available hours in a day to watch it all and no way to see what is on what, when and how all at the same time.

It's one instance where an AI would be useful - it could learn what I like and simply keep tabs on everything, recording things from all sources in one place and notifying me what was available to me!

I have a great idea for an AI app that will do all this for you. Not to mention schedule your TV watching.
Cheers

As one who grew up with BBC 1, BBC 2 and ITV only until the age of around 12 the present morass of options is sensory overload! surprised

I know. I recall the launch of Channel Four. A momentous occasion.

I get that. Ive got Sky, Freeview recorder, NF, LB, CuriosityStream. Too much. But I dont care if I dont watch one for much time as its all there.

What I HATE is some saying its rubbish, thats a crazy comment. I  wont elaborate, I prefer to get a reply and counter it, your honour. No further questions.

Sky isn't rubbish - I like the channels such as Discovery, History etc (although they can get a bit repetitive as they recycle the same programming  for 24 hours, days at a time!) and SoHo which I initially got for GoT but still have yet to see the last series of that.

I do not watch any sport.

However, what Sky is is very expensive and inflexible. You should be able to make your own channel package for example. If we kill it, it will only be because $50/month or whatever it is just isn't being used.
