I'll look at settings after bridesmaids.
ruff: I am off tomorrow to shoot a job on my Red Epic camera... at 5K resolution....?http://www.red.com/ we will use some of the resolution to stabilize and reframe in post, and then the advert will be finished in Full HD. It will look fantastic. Then it will be compressed to an inch of it's life and delivered to the network in SD... then it will be re-compressed again and broadcast.?
The viewer will never see how good it looks. I will be lucky enough to sit in on the color grade and see it of a Sony BVM-E250 Critical Evaluation Monitor, it will look great.
And that's just a commercial! Sky compression is destroying the hard work put in by everyone below the transmission line. It just depresses me.
(As soon as the current season of SoHo Game of Thrones concludes - yes I am hooked - thats it for me, back to the basic package, and onto BluRays for all shows and movies that I care about).
