Just looked up the foxtel go app in australia. up to 60 live channels, on demand content, and 2 devices can be watching at once. Sky has a long way to go.

Maybe they could charge $10 a month to get their apps to work better on more channels for more devices?

Can't see how it is any different to charging me $10 a month to watch in HD.

they could do a lot of things but sky aren't what I'd call innovators, I'd call them chain draggers.

Absolutely and this is why I refuse to support them. They monopolise everything and it seems the only way they can make their profit go up and up every year is to do nothing or be dragged in to the future doing the bear minimum.

Why isn't there a cheaper stream-only plan available? Why can't there be an option to subscribe to individual channels or channel packs? Why can't I have this app as a non-subscriber and pay for a one-off sports game or series? Why can't you use more than 2 devices? Why is it so hard to step in to the 21st century? Just give up your rights and let other companies offer a better product.

Someone may be visiting and want to stream it to their friends Apple TV. It's just another option for someone who has already paid for the content.

The best thing Sky can do is develop apps for Apple TV, Roku, PS3/4, Xbox 360/1 etc and stream the conent ala HBO Go etc and then offer stream only packages.

It's what they should have done rather than Igloo IMO. Not that I know anything about Sky, its budget or what they want to do. I just no how I watch TV and it's not through a decoder with 1 million shows I never watch.

They said somewhere about the digital rights only being allowed on one device. Somehow Sky thinks that means they should limit them to 2 as well? What does it matter how many devices you have if it can only play on one at a time anyway?

This is just ridiculous. We have 8 devices in our house not including phones. I can agree with the one stream at once but having just two devices registered is crazy stuff.

They just don't get it. Have they not seen what Netflix is doing?

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

Not me, but I have my Apple TV on a dfferent tv so I would use it on that, after removing multiroom which I now longer need. It will save me $25 per month!

On the iPad it needs IOS 7.0 or later and hence my original iPad 1 which is stuck at IOS 5 is useless. Only 3 years old but obsolete. Thanks Apple.
