freitasm: I have been contacted by Sky and will send a PM to the OP with more information.

Wow Sky also monitors Geekzone

Everyone monitors Geekzone.  But Geekzone users are so actively hostile to Sky that can you blame them for not wanting to get involved?

freitasm: True.

Not a generalisation of your membership I thought you'd endorse..?

Acknowledgement =/= endorsement.

OP: Sorry you've had this happen to you. :( I doubt the police would be able to do very much, sadly. Unless you have reason to believe the person might actually be creeping around in the area of course! Hopefully SKY can help you track this creep down.

I was suprised the orginal OP had no support when he called Sky. First of all, SKY tv use agencies to sell their products as well as their own team in house. Both teams are representing Sky so they won't want to hear about some creepy salesman snooping through the net curtains either.

Hope they have caught the offending snooper and dealt with him appropriately.

I doubt that is the reason, as most ISPs are on here, and the forums are moderated, so any abuse will get dealt with.
I think it is because they have no need to be on here, and also partly because it is lower tech. No other TV stations are really on here either. But if telecoms show tv get their own section, I can see other tv stations following them, as it is free advertising for them

Part of running the community is knowing the community. And the general impression I have is similar to that expressed in the quote. I do not have the same feelings (also I do not use Sky, therefore I couldn't have ANY feelings, good or bad).

Off topic (so I apologize)  but one can surely have feelings about Sky without using it?  For example I don't use Sky either, but I still feel they have what is effectively a major  monopoly on pay tv\movies and I feel this is not a good thing.

I feel their product is poor quality and value so choose not to use them. Am I not allowed a feeling on their offering because i am not a paying customer?

I didn't say anywhere "therefore YOU couldn't have ANY feelings, good or bad"... I said "I couldn't".

Did you guys missed the pronoun there?

I think they're being actively hostile towards you. Even a BDFL should demonstrate, now and again, that there are limits. Bring out the comfy chair...
