Any deals on getting a dish for free or something cheap? Want to get one for the bach but already sub'd to sky and have multi room

If your home connection is out of contract then cancell it and get a new install at the bach done. free install and cheap deal makes it good all round.

Need to sign up again with Sky and get MySky put in this week.

Currently already have a dish on the roof and it used to run MySky but now require it in a different room now and also will be using multi room.

Whats the best deal to get this done currently out there.

Should I ring sky marketing (like mentioned in previous posts) or has anyone like Harvey Norman got deals on. Could not see anything on there site but I believe they do Sky sign ups as well.

Retox: Hey guys I just got sky installed today and I thought I would share the current SkyTV deal if you ring 0800 112 396

and ask for the current deal you will get:

Sky Digital:
$45 a month Basic+Plat Sport + 2 other premium options (Soho OR Arts OR Movies).
Free install 12 month term promo prices lasts 6 months
HDi:
As above^^
+$25 install.
+Standard HDi fees ($15 extra month / $10 extra for optional HD Ticket).

This deal is still running as of 24/02.

BTW: The 0800 number actually diverts to different branches depending what city you are located in, so those staff members named here may not work there.

I am based in Auckland. I had signed up for 12 promotion last year which was half price for basic subscription. I got that offer in the letterbox

Now not it is over, I would like to know if there are similar offers out there.

Probably would have to cancel it and sign up again

Of course if "someone else" was to apply to get sky after "just moving in" it would all be different.

I just signed up, free install, basic package plus free two premium channels for 12 months. Mysky was an extra $25 setup cost plus the normal $15 a month
Rung them on tuesday afternoon, installed by 2pm on wednesday. I chose sport and movies.

Its also time for me to cancel my half price deal since it needs a month notice, and its almost been 11 months since I got it.

They have 4 and a bit weeks to make it worth keeping by adding a lot more HD stuff. Not gonna happen I dont think ;)

I better check when I joined, I m not paynig 60 something with the My sky but i do record a lot so I dunno what to do but cant really afford that.. Maybe just have normal sky and put my tivo back in the lounge to record..

Thanks Fabian for the info - 12 months of free sports and movies is a great deal!

On my first call to take up the offer I explained that my neighbour gave me the mailer, that I'm with Vodafone Sky and going to cancel and join Sky direct to take up this offer. The guy wouldn't give me the deal.

Hung up and called again, got someone else, didn't mention the whole VF customer issue. All signed up and tech coming on Wednesday.

On hold to VF to disconnect Sky.... will have to hide the current MySky box when the tech comes round.

you could always say you just found the letter with the deal (the one that expired 7 July) and ask if they can still honour the promo. Could be worth a shot?
